FC LSN: Emotions and Family

      "More paperwork?" Rosie sighed dejectedly. The Orphanage head gave a small frown at the sound of her sigh.
      "Just one more paper! I promise! This one is quite interesting as well. It's the final acceptance document for a new member of our family here at the Orphanage, Malta. He is a very bubbly young boy from what I can hear, but his parents could not keep him due to financhal problems. Poor thing is only a month old. Fortunetly, he has not imprinted on anyone yet. But he needs to find parents fast. It will be quite a time crunch…" the head said with eyes glazed over from stress. Rosie gave her a reassuring smile.
"No worries! I will be sure to take care of it", Rosie said with a smile before putting the red approval stamp on the paper and going back to her usual work.

      Malta arrived at the orphange the next day, and immediately his eyes scanned around and he cried when he could not find his mother. Rosie smiled at him and offered him a bottle of milk, which he grabbed for happily.
      "Surprising, he does not seem to let anyone else feed him", the nurse said, "But it must just be a coincidence or because of your ability". Rosie carefully picked Malta up and took him into her arms and hummed soothingly. Malta closed his eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep in minutes.
      "Nap time already?" Rosie asked jokingly as she rocked him gently in her arms. She smiled warmly at his peaceful expression and felt a warm feeling overcome her. Something about this small Incognitus made her happy just to have him in her arms. She felt like this when she first met Nakarosia as well. Now, Nakarosia was an adult and still staying with her but she knew that maybe if things went in the path that she thought unlikely at the time, they could take great care of him and give him a good home if no one else could.

      Rosie was worried on the 5th day of Malta's stay at the Orphanage. She grew to love the small Incognitus and knew he needed parents to imprint on. Nakarosia had talked to Rosie and told her that they needed to do something to help Malta.
      This was the day Rosie would make her final decision and one that would bring yet another addition to her family.
      "Here, I have some papers for you", Rosie told the Orphanage head briskly as the tried to sweep out of the room before the Orphanage head looked over them. Unfortunetly for her, she was not fast enough.
      "I KNEW IT! Everyone told me you would not, but I knew you would! It was just the way you looked at him and held him so lovingly. But, like everyone else, you have to go through the same process. Yours will be processed more quickly with the current conditions, however. Expect a verdict tommorrow", the Orphanage head told her with a small smile. Rosie nodded and thanked her before skipping out.

      The next day, Rosie was greeted with smiles from the entire Orphanage. She knew it meant her papers had indeed been approved. She spent the day with Malta and at the end of the day instead of just saying goodbye took him home with her. He immediately started to pull on Nakarosia's wings when he got home, but she put up with it with only a glare. This was the sign that told Rosie it would work out afterall.
      When Malta grew into a child, Rosie could see the gradual change in the pigment in his hair and his feathers. She was relived to see that he did not have a full body imprint and would not be in danger. His purple feathers she knew he had imprinted from her, but his bright blue hair made her wonder. She loved it either way. His ability came in as a shock as well when he was a child.
      Nakarosia had been watching over Malta while Rosie did an emergency call at the Orphanage. Malta now was a toddler and as usual, seemed sad while Rosie was gone. Nakarosia had tried to come over and offer him a wing of comfort, but immediately found herself depressed as her wing lay over him. When Rosie came back, Nakarosia snapped out of her trance and told Rosie what happened. As Malta grew into a child, these mood connections through touch continued but were not deemed dangerous. Rosie and Nakarosia tried their best to teach him how to use it to let them know how he is and to use it for his advantage in basic things.
      When Malta turned ten, Rosie made sure to find him a proper school to go too and also taught him more about his ability. He loved to practice using it, Rosie could tell just by him touching her arm. His cheerful personality seemed to make everyone in the house smile, even when he did not touch them.
      He loved going to school and despite his warnings from teachers from his hyper and bubbly personality, he excelled in his studies. Especially ones on psychology, which he seemed to take an interest to. His ability seemed to make him curious about emotions and how they can affect others. By the age of 17, he had full control and channeling of his ability. Rosie was proud of him to learn so early.
      Even when he was an adult and his voice had deepened and he became more burly, Rosie still saw him as her little boy and Nakarosia as her annoying but loving little brother. When he left the family to study Psycology in the field of Emotions, he had a major adcantage and was able to get a doctorate degree. He moved out (but still witin walking distance of his family) and set up an office to help children and adults understand and control their emotions. He was even able to do therapy by channeling good emotions into them through his ability.
      He knew that no matter how far he traveled, he would always be with his family and looked back on his happy memories of his childhood and found ways to let others know and help them at the same time.
